Although digital content is a widely institutionalized reality at the present age, its management issues and challenges have not been sufficiently explained. One of the most important deterrents to effective digital content management (DCM) is a single-dimensional, disciplinary and sectoral perspective to this multidimensional concept. Digital content management is a multifaceted concept and the best option to deal with this multi-modal phenomenon is an inter-disciplinary and hyperdisciplinary approach. A range of legal, commercial, psychological, sociological, linguistic, computational, and ethical issues are intertwined with digital content management. Each of these issues, in addition to having a solution in one field of study or cognitive area, is also related to various fields of study. This has made digital content management issues a fluid and ever-changing entity. This paper strives to explain the interdisciplinary nature of this concept. In this regard, six main aspects of digital content management were explained including theory, instrument, individual, society, framework, and content. Explaining each of these aspects introduces a common ground for interdisciplinary collaboration. It is concluded that an effective digital content management initiative is possible only through cooperation and synergy on knowledge sharing from various related fields of study.

Regarding to design an applicable electronic book reading system for children and adolescent, this study’s struggle is to prepare a conceptual model. We used quantitative approach and Delphi method in order to analyze data. In this regard, criterion based sampling is used to identify the research population. 15 experts were identified which had criteria such as having subjective publications, teaching experience, and so on. We supposed that these experts could present more information that we expected to collect. Moreover, 8 electronic book systems were selected to be reviewed, because of their plenty of active audiences, and their international and also standard presence. Firstly identified practical criteria in designing electronic books by extracting them from related resources and checking active systems. These data helped us to prepare primitive version of the checklist and it completed after passing validity control step with participation of three experts. Then the checklist presented to experts in Delphi panel. Finally, consensus on the components was reached after three rounds of Delphi panel. The results showed that in designing electronic books for children, there are five original components. The components are display screen features with 12 criteria, screen organization with 13 criteria, interaction and feedback with 8 criteria, search and retrieval features with 10 criteria, and help and guidance features with 10 criteria. Consequently, display screen features with score of 3,706 and interaction and feedback with score of 3,700 were selected as the most important components in designing electronic book systems by the viewpoints of Delphi experts.

Purpose: The principal purpose of the present article is to analyze the technical mechanisms and the categorization procedure of thesaurus, ontology, and their types in storage and retrieval of digital and non-digital content. The types of knowledge organization systems (KOSs) which are addressed in this article are Roget’s thesaurus, thesauri, Micro, Macro and Meta thesaurus, ontologies, and lower, middle, or upper-level ontologies. The study attempts to demonstrate categorization the procedure through determining the position of KOSs in the context of data, information, and knowledge (DIK) by explaining their engineering mechanisms such as data, information, and knowledge engineering in content storage and retrieval, especially digital content.Method: The research method relies on documented and historical methodology. Findings: As ontologies have taken the highest position amidst KOSs in making digital resources available in a web based environment, it is suggested that Iran and other developing countries use the capacities and capabilities of ontologies, especially in the development of national ontologies, in order to construct their knowledge-based infrastructure and system to achieve high performance in digital content engineering and management.

Purpose: Relatively much research has been done into theorizing and its importance. However, the number of studies related to the understanding of contexts is very negligible and so far no framework has been provided including indicators and evaluation methods. This research has been done with the aim of achieving the indicators related to theorizing and subsequently presenting a formula to measure the potential and theorizing capacity of scientific institutes.Method: Library and field methods have been used to collect information. Data were first collected through a checklist and then through the AHP questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed among experts and the AHP method was used to analyze the data. Expert Choice software was used to analyze the data obtained from the AHP questionnaire.Findings: The results indicate that the individual index is 9 times more important than the non-individual index in the theorizing process. Pairwise comparison of individual sub-indices showed that "awareness of theorizing" and "research ability” have an equal portion in theorizing. The "coherence of personality traits" is sextuple as important as the "awareness of theorizing”. "Coherence of personality traits" up to sextuple "research ability" can be considered important in the theorizing process. Pairwise comparison of non-individual index sub-indices showed that "communication level" is twice as important as "institutional index level". However, the “effect level" is twice as important as the "communication level". The "communication level" is 7 times more important than the "management index level". The "effect level" can be considered 7 times more important than the "institutional index level". "Institutional index level" is quadruple more important than "management index level". The "effect level" is extremely important compared to the "management index level".Conclusion: Although theorizing is done by a researcher or a group of researchers, ultimately, it is a collective matter, or at least, several components are involved in its formation. Theorizing is a coherent, dynamic, purposeful, and thoughtful practice whose results can lead researchers to recognize the credible generalizable relationship between causes and effects. Finally, the formula Tp= (0.9I + 0.1NI) was presented, which can be used to assess the capacity of theorizing in institutes.

Background: The advancement of information technologies has many effects on library services and collection management. Most of the librarians and library managers would like to work in libraries with a focus on modern devices and technologies.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine applying new devices of IOT technologies in different parts of libraries and changing library environments and services according to these new technologies.Method: The present research has been using a library study. In fact, equipping libraries with modern technologies would improve library services and increase users’ satisfaction.Findings: Librarians should be aware of important aspects of IoT in library services. The IoT will continue to affect libraries and their services through the building, collection management, instruction, data security, data mining, and information literacy. In this study, authors try to design a practical model for academic libraries based on IoT devices to improve the quality of services, increase user’s satisfaction and reduce costs.Conclusion: It is expected that this new technology, in addition to improving services, can greatly reduce the additional costs of libraries and help the library get closer to green and environment-friendly libraries.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the university libraries’ responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and determine their services patterns.Method: This study is a qualitative exploration by collecting data through phone and online interviews of selected heads or assistants of thirteen university libraries. The interview recordings were transcribed with the help of callX software. The content of the interviews was analyzed and coded using MaxQDA software and led to the extraction of 220 initial codes.Findings: Almost all the central libraries of the studied universities limited their in-person services during Covid 19 pandemic but engaged with the users and tried to increase digital and remote services. Revamping their web pages, Flexibility in presenting services, development of information dissemination to users were the most important services and activities that central libraries presented in the pandemic era. Two of the most significant services which they have started during this period are librarian booking and online videoconference interviews with the users.Conclusion: although Covid 19 quickly invaded libraries and reduced the opportunity for a quick response, some of the studied central libraries took advantage of the crisis and provided suitable services to students such as setting up digital reference desks, purchase of software to organize electronic resources in the library, online reference interview with users etc.

Purpose: The research is intended to extract repetitive themes in the field of semantic-rich learning and to express the basic opportunities and challenges therein.Method: The method applied was to review the articles published in the WOS database, during the years 2000 to 2020 by using the paradigm funnel technique; moreover the Nvivo software was used for document analysis and theme extraction.Findings: In the study, it was found that establishing access to appropriate educational content, proper analysis and representation of knowledge, human capabilities enhancement, personalization of learning, and improving the quality of assessment, are the most important positive effects of using STs in learning; Also, in this study, nine themes and seven major challenges in the field of semantic-rich learning were identified.Conclusion: personalization and adaptation, and the development of various ontologies, are the most cited themes; and access to learning content and concerns about the design and development of learning systems are the most important challenges facing semantic-rich learning environments. We believe that in order to overcome the enumerated challenges, the combination of STs with other emerging cognitive and communication technologies, such as IoT, is necessary and could be the subject of future research in this field.

Background: Official websites of tourism destinations provide an important digital content and are considered as widely-used tools of introducing destinations and presenting tourism products to the potential tourists. Improving the usability of websites helps the tourism destinations in achieving their goals. Websites usability is measured based on different criteria.Purpose: This paper evaluates and compares the usability of Iran and Malaysia official tourism destination websites –which are regarded as quite comparable in their tourism products and market- using seven criteria of content, visual attractiveness, infrastructure, interaction and responsiveness, navigation, customization, and product provision.Method: In order to do this evaluation, pairwise comparison questionnaires of the criteria were developed based on DEMATEL and ANP techniques and were answered online by 10 tourism experts in Iran. Websites’ usability analysis was performed using a combination of two MCDM (Multiple Criteria Decision Making) techniques that are DEMATEL and ANP so that the causal relations of the criteria are identified along with the ranking of their significance.Findings: The findings of the research show “infrastructure” as the dispatcher criterion, “product provision” as the receiver, and “content” as the most important criterion in the usability of tourism destinations’ websites. The findings also revealed the superiority of Malaysia’s official tourism website as compared to that of Iran.

Background: Destination branding and social media strategy may be a major and strong marketing and promotional tool for destination marketers. Today tourism has been greatly affected by social media platforms. Besides being a major source of information, these tools can facilitate the interaction process among tourists and provide them with customized and personalized offers. These activities can ultimately lead to enhanced destination brand equity.Purpose: The present study attempts to investigate the impact of social media marketing on consumer-based brand equity components for tourism destinations.Method: The sample of the study totaled 149 visitors from Isfahan. Online questionnaires and convenience sampling methods were used to collect data research. The research hypotheses were tested using smart PLS software.Results: The results showed that there is a statistically positive and significant impact of social media marketing on destination brand awareness, destination brand image, destination brand quality, and destination brand loyalty.Conclusion: As the results show, social media marketing is an effective marketing tool to improve tourism marketing that in turn can enhance destination brand equity. These results are beneficial for tourism destination marketers and managers. Social media marketing as a prominent marketing tool can strengthen destination brand equity and potentially influence tourists’ behavior

Purpose: Nowadays, average visit duration through the university library websites and bounce rate of the web users, are two important factors from the standpoint of Google Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The main objective of this paper is to study the two mentioned factors in Iranian university library websites and interactive relationship analysis between them.Method: This study opted for the webometrics approach. The research community was 42 library websites of Iranian governmental universities affiliated with the ministry of science, except Payam- Noor and Farhangian. These mentioned websites were analyzed by the descriptive and analytical survey methods. The data had been extracted by the "Similarweb" analytical tool (3 months: January to March 2020). Three software, "SPSS22", "Excel" and "LibreOfficeCalc", were used for data analysis.Findings: The lowest (best) bounce rates from the library website were observed in the websites of the Central Library of Allameh Tabatabai University and the Digital Library of the University of Guilan, respectively. The highest (best) "average visit duration", was observed in the digital library websites of Isfahan university of technology and the university of Tehran, respectively.Conclusion: The "bounce rate" of members of the research community has been observed between 13% and 100%. Also, "average visit duration" has been seen from 0 to 300 seconds. Iranian university library websites from the standpoint, two factors that impacted Google SEO, have been seen in the weak level. A significant inversely correlation was obtained between "Bounce Rate" and "Average Visit Duration" in 42 Iranian governmental university library websites with an amount of 0.6.

Purpose: The research aims to visualize and analyze co-word network, and thematic clusters of the intellectual structure in the field of digital content management during 2010-2020.Method: The study is applied research with a descriptive approach which is conducted by techniques of co-word, and social network analysis. Data analysis and visualization of the co-word network were represented by SPSS, UCINet, and Python programming language.Findings: 8 main clusters are identified. The cluster multimedia content management & retrieval is the most mature and central thematic cluster. The USA and various sub-categories of Computer Science are located in the top ranks of WOS in the field. Most productions were published in 2020. Generally, the Clusters were labeled in two contexts of health and LAM (Libraries, Archives, Museums, and cultural heritage).Conclusion: Content-based management and retrieval are focused on artificial intelligence, decision-supported, knowledge-based and ontological techniques which are conducted as novel approaches and underlying trends in the field.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to review and analyze the management, pattern of “Digital Content” based on research published and represent an overview of subjects, methodologies, contexts, and other features which are highlighted in these works.Method: In this study, the systematic literature review was undertaken by retrieving the studies related to “Digital Content Management” published in February 2021 on several databases. Various information of papers collected became the basis for synthesis and analysis. In addition, all the studies were qualitatively evaluated for measuring the validity of researches to present in the synthesis by Evidence-Based Librarianship (EBL) critical appraisal checklist.Findings: the systematic review presents a systematic framework based on research' items in the “Digital Content Management” field. The items include research methodology, a data-gathering tool, and other elements.Conclusion: The hidden subjects in the literature review were extracted and classified. Finally, based on these classes and other extracted information, the goal of the paper was achieved.

Libraries have long been involved in content management due to their mission and task, but with the advent of the digital age, this content has changed from print to digital. Digital content management is related to storing, organizing, indexing and monitoring digital content used by an organization. Digital content can take many forms, including text files, documents, graphics, images, animations, and audio and video files. This book is a handbook consisting of 15 chapters in the field of research on digital content management and development in libraries, elaborating on various areas such as: Consortia, Digital Libraries, Digital Resource Management, EResources, Information Retrieval, Knowledge Management, Open Access, Repositories, RFID Technology. Even so, in this book, the research topics mentioned have not been studied in depth. In my opinion, considering the thematic importance of the book, it would be better to address newer research topics such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, digital twins, virtual reality, research data management, etc. It is suggested that a new collection consisting of the chapters of the proposed areas be compiled.

The purpose of this study is to research factors associated with knowledge distribution that managers can leverage to ensure a strong innovation management process and successfully deliver technological innovations to the intended consumer. These approaches have strengths and weaknesses of their own about technological advances, user's reception, adaptability, and success rate within the real intelligence of generating knowledge. The learning of data access distribution- how an individual/ the organization obtains access to any individual's own and other knowledge-has emerged as a key research area from a broad and deep field of study on technology transfer and innovation, and more recently from the sector of strategic management. Increasingly, knowledge access sharing research has moved to an organizational learning perspective.
