Abstract
The accelerating convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and networked information systems has transformed how organizations maintain operational continuity, protect information assets, and manage the ever-increasing volume of digital content. This conceptual paper explores the role of AI in strengthening digital resilience within content management ecosystems operating in cyberspace. Drawing on recent literature in cybersecurity, content moderation, and AI governance, this paper synthesizes three relevant enabling areas through which AI enhances resilience: (a) anomaly and threat detection, (b) automated and adaptive content moderation, and and (c) explainable and governed decision-making. A conceptual framework is proposed that positions AI as a key technology mediating robustness, adaptive response, and recovery throughout the content lifecycle. The paper also critically examines emerging risks, including adversarial manipulation, synthetic media proliferation, algorithmic opacity, and moderator well-being, which complicate a simplistic narrative of AI-driven resilience. The findings suggest that digital resilience is best understood not as a static technical feature, but as a socio-technical capability that must be continuously managed, audited, and revised as AI capabilities evolve.
